Hoe kan ik mijn iPhone het beste opladen

What is the best way to charge my iPhone?

You’ve just gotten your hands on a refurbished iPhone, and of course, you want to maintain it as well as possible. One of the most important aspects is charging the device. After all, you want to get the most out of it for as long as possible. But how do you ensure the device is charged properly without damaging it? And perhaps more importantly, how do you use the battery correctly to keep the device running for many more years? ‘How often should you charge your iPhone, what is optimized charging for iPhone, and how can you tell that your iPhone is charging?’ These are some of the questions that will be answered in this blog post.

When is the best time to charge my iPhone?

A refurbished iPhone comes with a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. In the past, you had to let the battery completely drain before charging it properly. Additionally, you weren’t supposed to leave the device on the charger for too long, as this could cause the battery to overheat. That’s no longer the case. Now, it’s best to charge the battery before it’s fully depleted. It’s recommended to charge your iPhone intermittently. When your iPhone battery is around 10%, it’s a good idea to charge it. Our advice is to charge your iPhone to around 80%. This way, the battery will last the longest.

How can you tell that your iPhone is charging?

You charge an iPhone by connecting it to an outlet using a charging cable, which is included with all our refurbished iPhones. Additionally, starting from the iPhone 8, you can also charge wirelessly. Note: You will need to purchase a wireless charger separately. You’ll see the battery icon at the top right of the screen, which indicates the current battery status. When the device is charging, a lightning bolt will appear inside the battery icon. If the iPhone battery is almost empty, this will also be reflected in the icon. You’ll also receive a notification that the device needs to be charged for at least ten minutes before it can be used. It’s possible that the device will remain off for two minutes before this notification appears.

How often should I charge my iPhone?

An iPhone is a pretty durable yet energy-efficient device. Therefore, it doesn’t need to be charged very often. With normal use, the device only needs to be charged every one to two days. This won’t change much over the years. The batteries used in the device have been rigorously tested, so you can confidently say that refurbished iPhones generally come with good batteries. However, it’s important to note that the batteries in our refurbished iPhones have a minimum capacity of 85%. This means the batteries are not new, but it doesn’t mean the iPhone will drain quickly. You will likely still need to charge it once a day.

What does 'optimized charging for iPhone' mean?

Optimized charging is a feature you can enable on your iPhone, and it’s enabled by default. When you charge overnight, for instance, it will charge up to 80% and stop there. When it reaches 80%, the iPhone pauses charging. Shortly before you wake up, charging resumes. Apple recognizes your daily habits when optimized charging is enabled. The device will then charge up to 100% via trickle charging, which prevents overcharging if the device stays plugged in for extended periods. Overcharging and battery wear only occur when the device is fully charged and remains connected for long periods.
